SUMMER LOVIN

Maggie and her boyfriend Will. They have become fast friends this summer. It has been so fun! We can't wait for the future.

Maggie and Will playing together. We go back and forth between houses. It is so much fun. Wish we would have had a video camera some of these times!

HAPPY 9 MONTH BIRTHDAY LITTLE GIRL

It is amazing how fast 9 months has gone. I feel like it was just yesterday that I gave birth to my sweet little angel. She has grown up right before my eyes. It has been great this summer getting to be part of her growth. She has learned so much, crawling, pulling up on things and eating big girl food. Who would have ever thought we would be at this point. I didn't. I am going to be sad when summer is over, because I won't have those special times. I just have to look forward to my holidays and my next summer where she will be learning so much. For now I will hold on to my memories that Mags and I have made.

Here are some pics of the past few weeks. Enjoy!

If you look close, you can see her 1st tooth.

BACK IN BUSINESS PART II

We have had a busy past few weeks. Here are a few picks to help catch you up.

We have some very special friends from Houston P.S. and Claude that stopped by to visit and play with Maggie. They are very special people to us and we love getting to spend time with them. Here is a picture of Claude and Maggie on their trip through Dallas.

The month of July is a very busy birthday month for us. We end June with Aly's birthday, have Robby's birthday, and then my nephew Drake's birthday all back to back. Here is a picture of all of the cousins from the big family birthday party. It was fun getting to see Allen's kids. They are growing up so fast.

Last weekend we hosted the Dunham's. This is Jack's sisters family. They are always so much fun. They got here Thursday night, so we stayed up late just catching up and playing. Friday, we hit our neighborhood pool and hung out while Jack was working. We then came back and all tried to take naps. On Friday night we headed out to Gatti Town. It was lots of fun. Here is a pic of the 3 cousins before we headed out. Maggie had so much fun and enjoyed all the bright lights and fun things at Gatti Town.

Saturday was a very busy day. I woke up early and took our good friend Rick and Stacy to the airport for their return trip to Maryland. It will be a long two weeks without Stacy and Michael around, but we ill have Jenny and Will to play with.

After I got back we had our traditional breakfast tacos, hit the showers and headed out to McKinney Trade days. It was not the place for Chad and Max, but the rest of us had lots of fun! We then went bowling on a free bowling pass I had. (Love Teacher gifts!) Here is a pic that we took at the end of our bowling game. You can tell we had lots of fun!

We ended the night by hitting the Magic Time Machine. It has not changed in years. It is still smelly, and gross inside. It was a lot of fun for the kids and that is what makes the night. Kate who is afraid of everyone did really well. It will be fun to take Maggie one day. Jack and I didn't get any pics inside, but we did get one pic to end the night.

We had a fun time with the Dunhams. We love when they come and visit. We can't wait to go to Houston in a few weeks to celebrate some more of our summer birthdays. Max will be turning 7 and Jack's dad will have a birthday as well. It will be lots of fun!

On a sad note: My best friend from college moved away this past week. We got to fit in one last dinner before they headed out west. We are very happy for them, but I am very sad that they are gone. I know they are ready for their new adventures, and can't wait to settle down. I wish them all the best. Here is a pic from dinner with them. Best of luck Matt, Sarah and Brody. We can't wait to come and visit.

BACK IN BUSINESS

Well, so I thought I was back in business. We have been without a computer for a week now. Somehow we managed to brake not one, but two computers in our house. We were able to get one fixed for free, so I am very happy about that. The other will now go to the computer Gods! It will be missed.

I thought I was going to get to spend this quiet moment updating my blog with lots of fun pictures, but I have somehow managed to mess things up. Once Jack gets home, it will be picture upload time. We have lots to share.

So stay tuned for BACK IN BUSINESS PART 2!

WOW, WHAT A WEEKEND!

Maggie telling everyone Happy 4th of July!!!

We have had the best weekend ever. Jack got off work early on Thursday, so it seems as if we have been on a vacation. We went to celebrate my nephew Robby's 9th birthday at Joes Crab Shack and then went back to my sisters house and hung out at their neighbors house the rest of the night. Jack was in singing heaven.

Thursday morning we went with my sister and her family to Celebration Park in Allen to celebrate Robby's birthday. Aly took Maggie around the splash park. She loved it!

On Friday we continued the festivities with Kaboom Town. My mom works at the airport, so we were able to get out on the runway and be part of the action. Well, Jack was able to be part of it. Maggie was very scared of the loud noises of the planes that flew over. It was very cool. When the fireworks went off we had front row seats. The only down side to this event was the two hours of traffic we sat in to get home.

This is how close we were to the planes! It was a great sight to see.

A family picture of us before Maggie had a break down!

On Saturday we headed out to the lake. It was a nice day and we had lots of fun just swimming and hanging out. Maggie once again did a great job. We then went back to the dock for some BBQ. We had a quick dinner and then headed back to the water to have a front row seat for the fireworks. Maggie slept through the whole thing. One day she will understand what I love so much.

Maggie, Maddy, and Dewey hanging out on the boat after a swim! What a great day we had.

Jack and I spending our ninth 4th of July together.

Sunday was a lazy day for us. We didn't get started until later, but we did manage to get me a new phone. I feel like part of society now. I can text and do so much. It is nice to be a grown-up!

Jack is off today. So, we will wrap up our long weekend. It has been so nice to have him home and to do so much. I have loved every minute of it.

Please feel free to check out smugmug to see all the fun we had.

Hope everyone had a fun 4th like us!

WE ARE READY FOR THE 4TH!!!

We are officially ready for the 4th. We start off our fun festivities by celebrating my nephews 9th birthday. I can remember holding him and playing with him when he was born! I am getting really old.

Here is Robby as a little boy. He will now be a 4th grader. Aggg! I teach that grade. I know how these kids are.

We will then visit Addison for Kaboom town and then head out to the lake to celebrate our old family tradition! We can't wait. Maggie is all ready to go! Happy 4th of July everyone!
